Dear Mr. Contractor,
A wise masonry contractor once said: "I may be hungry, but I won't be tired and hungry." What he meant was this. "Going into a bid, I will base my price on accurate quantities. I will not depend on the supervision and masons in the field to makeup for a poor take-off."
Hard earned; hands on experience is invaluable when providing a masonry take-off. I have invested forty plus years in commercial and industrial masonry. I have laid a few million, superintended a few million and counted a whole lot of millions. Another estimator may be as good, but he won't be better.
Beginning at bid time, an accurate and detailed take-off is critical to the success of any masonry project. But like the old timers use to say: "Proof of the pie is in the eating." After you have looked over my credentials, all that remains is for you to pull up to the table.
I look forward to being on your team when you bid your next masonry project.
