A complete "Detailed" take-off, including area breakdown by floors, is one done at an hourly rate of $40.00. See sample under link: sample "detailed" take-off.

For take-offs done by the hour, the contractor is responsible for furnishing "all" contract documents to and from my office in a timely manner; including all addendums pertaining to the masonry. Normally, the civil, architectural and structural drawings, and the complete specifications, are all I need. The completed take-off will be emailed, as you wish, in a Lotus, or Excel, spreadsheet format. A "CD", with detailed take-off entries onto Lotus spreadsheet templates, and the completed take-off, will be sent with the returned documents.
